Oracle restore from the backup system

The Oracle agent supports restore of full and incremental backups. As with Oracle backups, the agent leverages RMAN to perform restore operations. Oracle restores occur in two phases. First, the server extracts the backup to the server’s storage and exposes the data as a CIFS share (/backups/rae/<client_name>/ <instance>). In the second phase, the client accesses the exposed CIFS share, and the RMAN is invoked to restore back to the Oracle client.
